The original. Just better. We took everything we learned from making and riding the original Deathgrip and created the Deathgrip2. Having spent years refining grip design with Brendan Fairclough, Olly Wilkins, and the DMR Team, along with riders from around the world at all levels, we knew we were on to a winning formula. We kept the features that riders know and love, and added some fundamental improvements along the way.

The DMR Deathgrip2 features the grip pattern and layout that inspired a whole generation of mountain bike grips:

• A soft mushroom section for comfort in the thumb and forefinger area, preventing blisters in a soft-tissue zone.
• Diamond knurl for grip in all conditions and terrains.
• A waffle layout underside to hold your fingers in the perfect position for grip and control.
• A tapered core for easy mounting onto handlebars using just one lockring.
• Soft, durable, and lightweight krayton rubber grip compounds.
• Choice of thin or thick diameters, and with or without flanges.

We took these winning features of the Deathgrip and added:

• An exposed core end for added durability in rough conditions.
• A new injection-moulded DMR end cap for branding and color coordination.
• A slimmer, more refined DMR collar lockring integrated with the grip outer.
• Slimmer flanges with a new relief design and fresh DMR logo.
• Millimetre-perfect positioning of mushroom, waffle, and knurl for the ultimate grip pattern.

Installation Instructions:

• Remove your old grips and bar end plugs.
• Thoroughly clean and degrease the handlebar.
• Ensure there is at least 130mm of free bar space for each grip. If necessary, move your controls to create the required space.
• Fit the new DMR Deathgrips onto the handlebar by pushing them on all the way until they won’t go any further. You may need a soft-faced mallet or similar to tap them on to fully engage the unique taper-end of the Deathgrip.
• Make sure the collars are fully located on the grips and tighten the collar bolts to torque (2Nm). Do not overtighten the collar bolts; only tighten them enough that the grips will not rotate under force.
• Confirm that the grips and controls are securely in place. Twist the grips hard to ensure they do not move.
